Ancient Greek

Ancient Greece was in the beginning of western ideas and culture. They were masters of philosophy, science, fine arts, geography, medicine, legal systems and astronomy. Greece is mountainous Peninsula surrounded by 3 seas. They were composed of my many competing communities called city states. There climate is composed of hot summers and bitter winters. They had great access to  marble which they used a lot in their amazing architecture. The Greek contributed a great feature to the architecture world which was there Greek Orders the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian columns are the most common orders. The most important surviving architecture of Greece is Parthenon. The Parthenon is a ancient temple on the Athenian Acropolis. Dedicated to the Greek goddess Athena. They Greek drove for perfection. We learned a lot about the furniture and and lifestyle from there pottery and wall art.
